So you want to make a site and don't know what kind of content you would like to present? I have created a list of types of sites and what kind of people should do these types. Maybe one is for you?
Graphic. You have to be willing to update your site a lot. People are going to be using your graphics as well, so you must be comfortable with giving out your codes/images for others to use.
Types: Anime, celebrity, pixel, vector, photos, avatars, nature, etc...
You can pretty much make a site for anything you want in this case. Whether or not you will have coded works, try and make it valid coding. This should allow it to work in any browser.
Review. Know a lot about something? Want to share your knowledge? This is a site for people who like to review things. You have to know a lot about what you choose to write about and be able to update it. You can review almost anything you'd like, but be sure to not pick something purely because it sounds fun. You have to know a lot about what you review.
Types: Website, manga, video, anime, art, etc...
Tutorial.
Like to share your knowledge? If you know a lot about something and want to help others learn it this might be the type of site for you. Make sure you know a lot about what you are writing tutorials on. You also need to be able to write them so anyone can understand them.
Types: HTML, CSS, PHP, Cutenews, FTP, Adobe Photoshop (7.0, CS, CS2, CS3), MySQL, WebSite Tips, Paint Shop, paint, programming
Resource. Resource sites are mainly created for web masters of other sites. Your content can be anything you make yourself. You can make multiple types of resources or focus on one. This is for people who like to make things for others to use to improve their abilities. You have to be very creative and have the time/resources to keep it up.
Types: Brushes, PNGs, Layouts, Gradients, Patterns, vectors, programs, textures, emoticons, etc...
Mix. This is the most common site type. People who like to do things found in different types of site types should do this. While the official name isn't mix, it's generally the two site types put together like graphic/resource or tutorial/graphic. There is no specific type of this kind of site and restrictions/qualifications match the site types stated above.
