Content, the main purpose of every site. Most people however don't realize that they should set guidelines or rules for their content. This will not only make it easier for the user, but you'll have a better site as well.

**Length. The length of what you write is important, or how you make the length longer/shorter. If this page was all one giant paragraph, would you want to read it? When writing out a page you should put yourself in other peoples position and ask your self questions like: Does this look to long? Can I understand it? Will someone know what I am talking about? Can I make it easier? Is it user friendly?

Bullets are an easy way to make things easier to read. You can find the information faster and therefore your user will be happy. Your content can also be to short. You need as much information as you can get, but don't make it to wordy. This isn't a school paper where you write a bunch of things to make it longer. You should have enough information that the user can understand what its about.

**Language. Swearing is something you must avoid. It makes the page seem unprofessional and give the idea that you don't care how you write. There is going to be many users looking at your site, some may even be younger then 10.

Chat speak is yet another thing. While you may spend your whole day in the chat rooms, others don't and they won't know some of the language/short cuts used in chat speak. When you are writing anything on your site stick to proper English as much as possible so everyone can understand. Another thing that can be an issue at times: you learned English but you can't use it well. You should try and stick to the language you know most, if you want an English site, ask someone to proof read your pages and make changes so all English speakers can understand.

**All ages. Depending on the type of site you'll have, you should try and keep the content for all ages. This means no swearing, no hentai, or anything similar to these categories. Even if the people viewing your site are of a certain age, most won't want to see any of that content.
